Why is this product Environmentally Conscious? Organic cotton offcuts are used to produce the recycled cotton yarn, which makes up these canvas tote bags. Using recycled polyester can contribute to reduce the extraction of crude oil and natural gas from the Earth to make more plastic and gives a second life to a material thats not biodegradable and would otherwise end up in landfill or the ocean.
